I can’t believe Indietracks was a week ago already! It was a really lovely experience. The atmosphere was amazing and everyone was super friendly. It’s hard to articulate how nice it was, but it felt very home-y. I made a lot of friends.
I think it’s best exemplified by one band’s actions after the generator stopped working. The organisers made the announcement that the set had to be postponed and out of their own volition The Hidden Cameras did an impromptu acoustic set. It was just lovely. People made their way back to the stage and were just very quiet trying to hear and just appreciating the gesture.

During the gig, I was putting together the pieces we made in the Owl Knit You workshop. It was really relaxing and probably one of my favourite moments not only of the festival, but ever. It kind of sums up the loveliness of Indietracks.
Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and lots of attendees said they’d try it at home. I learned a lot about teaching a workshop as well. (It’s kind of scary.)
Unfortunately, due to the massive amount of amazing things happening (The Little Orchestra and local ales, for example), we only got one picture of the final piece. We hung it up in the Merchandise Tent (Thanks again everyone! Especially the kind tall people who could reach the hooks!)
